WB to give additional $47.49m for Ctg water infrastructure
World Bank (WB) will give an additional USD 47.49 million financing to continue constuction of new water infrastructure in Chittagong. It will also provide access to safe4 water for around 650,000 inhabitants in the port city.
An agreement to this effect was signed on Sunday between the government and the WB at the NEC Conference Room of the Economic Relations Division (ERD) in Dhaka. Additional Secretary of the ERD Mahmuda Begum and the acting WB country director for Bangladesh Rajshree Paralokar signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides.
